Welcome!
Hi there! I’m Jamie. I’ve created this space to document our family’s journey to food freedom. I live in a little house in Pennsylvania with my husband and our two sons.
We have had a small flock of backyard chickens for about two years now. They provide us with the best tasting eggs! We had been planning to plant a large garden this Spring. At the time this is published, we are just shy of three weeks into a self-quarantine due to the Corona virus (COVID-19). And I am sure now, more than ever that this endeavor to grow our own food on our property is the right thing to do for our family.
In writing this blog, my hope is to inspire others and learn from other gardeners and homesteaders. We all do this thing differently and to me, that’s the beauty of it all. Whether we live on ¼ acre in a development or 100 acres, we can come together and share our experiences and resources.
I look forward to sharing our process, our latest projects and probably some things about raising two wild children on a tiny homestead!
