There is so much hope that comes from this little sprout as it breaks through the dirt. It doesn’t care that the outside world is basically at a stand still. It knows nothing of social distancing, working from home or schools being shut down. It will continue to grow and seek the sun. It will grow and produce the food that I will then feed to my family. It is a symbol of hope in a season such as this. It is a tiny key to food freedom and to sustainability.
